Maya Nasry is one of the handful Lebanese ladies who can sing, rock and do pop songs. She has a great voice for the live experience as well. She remains one of those popular stars as even though she has not released anything new for at least three years. The last I have heard of her is when she stated in a comedy movie about a dictator's song who has to go back to school. She sang in the movie but that was 2009.
I understand the business is tough at the moment and Egypt is preoccupied with other adventures at the moment but Maya is a brand in Egyptian entertainment, she appeared in a number of movies and she did well in the roles she picked. She started her career in 1998 when she appeared on a singing competition show.
I do not know where has she gone, but I miss her good songs like the one below. If she wants a comeback, she needs to get serious about making good stuff.
